I remember, do you?

Hey Baby – So how are you doing? I’m doing okay. I was just sitting here thinking about you and I thought I would drop you a note. No money to sit on though (ha ha). I would like you to take the time to read this, I know you don’t care much for reading, but this should be easy on your poor little old eyes.

I have been reflecting on my life and how wonderful it has been. A large part of this is because of you. I remember when I was a little girl; my grandma would take me shopping, then out to lunch at Woolworth’s. I remember seeing Santa for the first time, with you by my side. Do you remember? I do. Every important day of my life you have been there.

Guess who taught me how to drive? You did! I watched you drive for years before I was old enough to learn and when the time came. I was a natural (except in my crazy years). I remember my sixteenth birthday the brown Skylark pulling up to the house and there she was, Baby, ready to take me to get my license. What a day that was! Do you remember? I do.

I don’t remember when that bond happened but I am sure it was the day that you were so depressed (so I heard). I looked up at you with my now famous smile (at work they call me the Velvet Hammer because I tell it like it is, then I flash a smile on them as big as the great outdoors). Anyway I flashed you that big smile and it was all over, we were bonded. We will have that bond until we both are dead and gone. Do you remember?

You have been with me from beginning till always, you will be in my heart till the day I die. I don’t want one of us to go away without you knowing how grateful I am for having you in my life.

I am very proud of the way you have always taken care of the family. In a way, I would like to reciprocate but I know in my heart you will go quietly in the night as not to disturb anyone. But if I should go first, I need you to do one thing for me. Remember!!! You are my heart, my love, my grandma, and my Baby and I love you more than I could ever express in a letter. – See ya soon!
